The Asylum Haunted House at the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston, WV Presents Hysteria

Dungeon of Horrors at the former WV Penitentiary
(Scare Factor – Teens and Adults, children at parent’s discretion) One of the most popular haunted houses in the area! The Former West Virginia Penitentiary housed some of the most violent criminals in history. Many of the prisoners who lived here also died here. Some of these tormented and tortured souls have not left. The prison is known to have one of the highest levels of paranormal activity in the United States and most people who have survived the dungeon of horrors believe that the prisoners still haunt the darkened hallways of the prison today. Open Fridays and Saturdays from September 25 – October 31. (Also open Sunday, Oct. 18 & 25, and Thursday, October 29.) Dead Zone Haunted House

Nightmare on the Gorge
Guests can anticipate in thrills and chills the weekends of Oct. 23-24 and Oct. 30-31 with Nightmare on the Gorge. 7 p.m. to midnight. Explore the abandoned adventure resort and discover its haunted history. With over 1,500 acres there are many dark corners for creatures to hide. As you move from building to building keep on your toes because you never know who or what is watching you. Family Night at the Dungeon (former WV Penitentiary)
(Scare Factor – for ages 7-12) Join us at the former West Virginia Penitentiary for the Lil’ Dungeon of Horrors for children ages 7-12. This is a scaled down version of our haunted house for those not quite ready for the full version (which is not recommended for anyone under 13.) $10 per family of 4, $5 each additional person.
